Some of you know that I own a few horses and breed and raise them. On April 25 a new foal was born, a stunning black colt and by far the most beautiful foal I ever had. We named him GRACIOSO which means graceful.

I was tagged by buckeye5 to list six "unimportant things" about me. Well, here they are:

I love being out on early Sunday mornings when everything is quiet and normal people are still asleep.
I hate milk, the taste and even the smell - it always makes me gag. Only some milk in coffee is o.k..
I love to read, not only B/J and G/R fiction, but "real" books as well and I often read several books at the same time.
I despise crowded places and too many people around me, they often make me edgy.
I love cooking (the more advanced stuff, not just boiling some pasta) but hate cleaning up everything later.
I was extremely shy when I was a child, never answered the door or even the phone, but thank God that`s much better now ;-).

That`s it, at least for now - I like nearly everything of S&G and Leonard Cohen (he hast the most incredible voice, gives me goosebumps everytime), I hear a lot of Norah Nones or Katie Melua, Sigur Ros, Neil Young, Bryan Ferry, Nick Cave, REM sometimes, and Badly Drawn Boy ... and I could go on for hours ;-).

Sometimes RL is really good - yesterday I got my internet connection back, just as I almost got used to not having it!!

And the second reason I`m very happy is one of my horses. I`m a small breeder and last year my favorite mare was seriously injured during giving birth to her first foal. It got stuck in the birth channel and suffocated and the mare`s spinal cord has been damaged due to the high pressure. We couldn`t get her up for almost a day and she had difficulties walking for weeks and months. The vets have been worrying that she might never fully recover, let alone being ridden or having another foal again. Well, sometimes mother nature has her own ways and just waiting and lots of TLC can do a lot. This little horse proved all vets very wrong, she is doing fine, running and playing everyday out in the fields and yesterday the girl who helps me with the horses sat on her back for the first time in one and a half year. It nearly brought tears into my eyes, seeing this mare who has been almost dead moving along as if nothing ever happened!!! She is very special to me, more like a child, and you can`t image how happy I am :-).

The worst happened - due to change of provider I`m currently WITHOUT internet!!!! The service guy told me at first it might be "only" for seven to ten days ... as I asked him again he confessed that it might last between two or three weeks. Shock!!!! So if I`m not commenting on my favorite fics it`s not because I`m not interested anymore - I have to go to my cousin`s place to at least check up on my e-mails. LJ is acting up here, too, and won`t show me even my own LJ. I wonder what is wrong here ...

Hmmmm, now that I finally have my very own LJ I don`t really know what to write ... I guess I`m much more a reader than a writer and just have to live with it. But who knows, things may chance with time and right now I`M pretty bussy with real live, the dogs, horses and everything.
